4.2 Alchemia

Making narrative images is a search, the transformation of ideas in images. The transformation of thoughts into a new state is an alchemistic process.

About fifty paintings (triptychs), a largely stretched out canvas covered with blue and gold leaf, and with purple and black as a symbol of magic.

The paintings refer to the discoveries in the 19th century, e.g. , the invention of the light bulb and the technological developments in wireless communication like radio, ...
And the call for "torn gold", seeming to scream out that we will never be able to find a balance between human being, science and gold.

Verhalende beelden maken is een zoektocht, de transformatie van een idee naar een beeld. De transformatie van gedachten naar een hoger niveau is een alchemistisch procedé.

Ongeveer 50 schilderijen (triptieken), een uitgestrekt stuk canvas bedekt met blauw en bladgoud, paars en zwart als een symbool voor magie.

De schilderijen verwijzen naar de ontdekkingen uit de 19e eeuw, bijvoorbeeld de uitvinding van de gloeilamp en de technologische ontwikkelingen in de draadloze communicatie..
