2000 was the year that the artist and his wife travelled to the peoples republic of China. Illustrating this travel there were the etchings of the Triangular star, moon eclipse and observation series.

Next to these etching, the artist painted in acryl and oils on canvas inspired by Asian philosophy.

The travels through China enriches the artist with the impressions from staying in Beijing, Xian, Suzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai.

De kunstenaar en zijn echtgenote hebben in 2000 een reis gemaakt door China. Illustrerend aan deze reis ontstonden de reeks etsen als driehoekster, maaneclips, observaties 1, 2, 3, enz ... en een aantal acryl en olieverf geschilderde werken geïnspireerd op de aziatische levensfilosofiëen.

Het verblijf in steden als Beijing, Xian, Suzhou, Nanjing, Shanhai hebben de kunstenaar verrijkt met nieuwe indrukken die later zijn werk zullen beïnvloeden.
